Questions
How does the campaign planner work?
Tell it your goal, business type, markets, formats and monthly budget. It splits the budget across your markets and shows how many boards, benches or other placements that buys at typical prices, using published city rate tables where we have them and OOHGuide estimates by market size everywhere else. It also estimates impressions and CPM, and suggests local companies to quote in each market.
How are impressions and CPM estimated?
Impressions are the people likely to see each ad over 4 weeks. Where we have a published city rate table we use its listed impressions for each bulletin, digital bulletin and poster; elsewhere we use OOHGuide estimates by market size, built from those city tables. CPM is the estimated spend divided by impressions, times 1,000. Benches, junior posters, trucks and place-based screens are rarely measured, so they're left out of the audience totals.
How are the companies to quote chosen?
From our directory of operators serving each market: companies that sell at least one of your formats, with locally headquartered and larger operators first. Pick or unpick any of them, and your quote request goes to the ones you choose.
Are these real prices?
They're realistic ranges, not quotes. Real prices depend on the exact board, its traffic, the season and what the operator has open. Use "Get quotes for this plan" to send your plan to operators for actual availability and pricing.
What budget do I need for billboards?
Rural boards and benches can start under $500 per 4 weeks. Most small and midsize cities run about $1,500 to $5,000 for a static bulletin, and big-city bulletins often start around $3,000 to $5,000. Many large-market sellers also have minimum spends.
Can I share my plan?
Yes. Every plan has its own link that reopens it exactly as you built it, so you can send it to a partner or come back later. You can also email yourself a copy.
