Las Vegas Billboard Advertising (2026): Costs, the Strip, Mobile Billboards and the Sphere

Updated 2026-10-16

Short answer: a static billboard in Las Vegas typically runs about $4,000 to $15,000 per 4 weeks on major roads, with premium Strip-area digital screens well above that. At the extreme end, advertising on the Sphere was pitched at $450,000 for one day or $650,000 for a week in 2023. Mobile billboard trucks, a Las Vegas staple, are priced by the hour or week.

Las Vegas is one of the most distinctive out-of-home markets in the country: a metro of about 2.3 million people (US Census Bureau 2023) plus tens of millions of visitors a year, packed into one famous corridor. Here's how it works.

Estimated Las Vegas billboard costs

Format Typical cost
Static bulletin on I-15, US-95, I-215 and major arterials About $4,000 to $15,000 per 4 weeks
Digital billboard (shared rotation) About $4,000 to $15,000+ a month
Posters and smaller boards off the main corridors About $1,500 to $4,000 per 4 weeks
Premium Strip-area digital screens and spectaculars Custom quotes, often far higher
Mobile billboard trucks Priced by the hour, day or week
The Sphere (Exosphere) $450,000 per day or $650,000 per week (2023 pitch pricing)

Billboard ranges are OOHGuide estimates for a major metro, built on Business.com cost data and published rate tables. Sphere pricing is from an agency pitch deck reported by KSNV News 3. Use the billboard cost calculator to model a campaign.

The Strip: why it costs more

The Las Vegas Strip concentrates visitors, traffic and spectacle in a few miles. Screens and wallscapes facing the Strip reach tourists who are walking slowly, looking around and filming everything, so ads there often earn social sharing on top of in-person impressions. That's why Strip-facing inventory is priced case by case and well above the city's typical billboard rates.

If your customers are locals, you often don't need the Strip. Highway boards on I-15, US-95 and the I-215 beltway, plus boards on busy arterials across Henderson, North Las Vegas and Summerlin, reach commuters at normal major-metro prices.

The Sphere

The Sphere's exterior, the Exosphere, is described as the largest LED screen on Earth, with about 1.2 million LED pucks across 580,000 square feet. In 2023, KSNV reported pitch-deck pricing of:

  • One day: $450,000, including a four-hour, 50% takeover of screen time and production of a 90-second spot
  • One week: $650,000, including 276 appearances and more than 414 minutes of airtime, plus a four-hour 50% takeover on a chosen date

It is a national-brand play, bought mostly for the spectacle and the social media reach. See Times Square billboard costs for the other famous premium market.

Mobile billboards and Clark County's rules

Las Vegas is famous for mobile billboard trucks circling the Strip. Clark County regulates them under an ordinance that took effect January 1, 2020, part of a new county code chapter for licensing mobile billboard businesses (Clark County). According to KSNV News 3:

  • Mobile billboards can't use a detachable trailer or be pulled by another vehicle.
  • They can't stand, park or be stored on a residential roadway or within 500 feet of a school, residence or community facility.
  • Video, rapidly changing images or flashing lights are only allowed on the Strip, on the passenger side, while traveling in the right lane.

If you hire a mobile billboard, make sure the operator is licensed and follows these rules. For general pricing, see mobile billboard costs.

Walking billboards

Sign-carrying "walking billboards" and street teams are also common near the Strip, especially around events. Check permits and venue rules with the provider before you book.

Tips for advertising in Las Vegas

  1. Decide: visitors or locals? Visitors mean the Strip, the airport and place-based screens in resorts. Locals mean highways and neighborhood arterials at normal prices.
  2. Time it to events. Conventions, fights, concerts and major sports weekends spike demand and prices.
  3. Use digital for timing. Rotate messages around shows, events and dayparts.
  4. Vet mobile billboard providers for licensing and compliance with county rules.
  5. Get 3 quotes from a mix of national and local operators.
